La herejía a la luz de la norma missionis: los delitos contra la fe antes de la Inquisición

Abstract

Las grandes épocas de reforma en la Iglesia, tradicionalmente, han supuesto una necesidad de profundización a todos los niveles, no sólo desde el punto de vista dogmático, que han tenido como resultado la formulación, cuando no la redefinición, de los aspectos que habían sido objeto de controversia. En este sentido, a la luz de la historia, estudiaremos el trato canónico a los diversos casos de desacuerdo doctrinal, que, a su vez, produjeron discordia y auténtica fatiga para la Iglesia. Sin lugar a dudas, la mayor manifestación de oposición a las interpretaciones propuestas por la Iglesia es la herejía; Sin embargo, no tenemos la intención de hacer un estudio detallado de las voces heterodoxas que se levantaron contra Pedro sino, más bien, ver la forma en que fueron tratadas durante el primer milenio, cuando la Iglesia pasó primero legal y después oficial, hasta el cuarto Concilio de Letrán, en el que los tribunales inquisitoriales recibieron el encargo oficial de juzgar este tipo de actitudes.

The great epochs of reform in the Church, traditionally, made it necessary to go deeper on some topics at all levels – not only from the dogmatic point of view – and has led a new formulation, sometimes a redefinition, of the aspects that had been in dispute. In this regard, in the light of history, we will try to observe how were legally treated the different cases of disagreement, which, at that time, they created discord and fatigue for the Church. Without a doubt, heresy is the clearest example of opposition to some interpretations proposed by the Church; However, we do not intend to make a detailed study of the unorthodox voices that risen against the claims of Peter, but rather, check out how these were treated during the first Millennium, when the Church became legal first and then official until the fourth Lateran Council, the moment in which the inquisitorial tribunals started to judge this attitudes.
