Abstract
La presente investigación encuentra su elemento central en el denominado Efecto CSI.
Este concepto apareció primeramente en la prensa norteamericana, sobre el año 2003 (Houck, 2006), y pronto despertó la curiosidad científica de los investigadores que empezaron a contemplar un potencial peligro para el sistema judicial anglosajón, cuyos pilares están fuertemente vinculados a la figura del jurado.
Efectivamente, se trataba de analizar y estudiar la posibilidad de que los seguidores de la serie CSI Las Vegas, pudieran percibir los contenidos de la citada serie de ficción forense como reales, lo que redundaría en la generación de unas altas expectativas de contar con pruebas forenses en las sesiones de juicio oral, cuando cualquiera de estos espectadores o seguidores de la serie participasen como jurados en un tribunal de justicia.
