Abstract
The main objective of this work is to vindicate the usefulness of classical rhetoric (incarnated by Aristotle's Rhetoric) for the study of the degree in Advertising and Public Relations. Specifically, it is considered especially appropriate to develop the contents of the subjects identified by ANECA (2005) as: "Creativity and innovation in communication, especially advertising and public relations" and "Interaction of the socio-cultural environment and its evolution with communication". For this, the contents of Aristotle's Rhetoric are addressed, structured in the three books that make up the work and are related to the subjects of the degrees in Advertising and Public Relations derived from the indicated subjects. The subjects that address the study of advertising discourse (Advertising Language, Advertising Writing, Advertising Semiotics, etc.), the creative processes of advertising or audience research are the ones that can benefit the most from the incorporation of Rhetoric of Aristotle to explain its contents.
