Abstract
The main objective of public relations is based on achieving understanding and dialogue between the organisation and its publics. In this way, digital social networks take on special relevance, as they strengthen communication and the relationship between these subjects. Despite the increase in research on the use of digital social networks in the field of public relations, review studies that analyse these works are scarce. Against this backdrop, this research aims to compile, synthesise and examine the scientific production on this subject through a bibliometric analysis of articles published in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (WOS). The study concluded that interest in the subject is recent and, although there is a variety of authors and institutions showing interest, there is also a certain degree of specialisation as there are journals, researchers and universities that are particularly interested in this subject. It should also be noted that the co-authorship rate obtained in this study is relatively high and that the texts analysed are of high quality.
