Abstract
Radio has become an essential means of communication in our society, not only because it transmits information, but also because since its emergence in the 1920s, it has had an educational purpose which, although not as deeply rooted as in its early days, continues to this day. In this chapter, we want to show radio as an ideal teaching resource for use in the early stages of learning (preschool and primary school). We will therefore highlight a series of methods, guidelines and activities adapted to each of these educational stages, in which radio, in addition to being a tool, can also be used as content to introduce young children to aspects related to media literacy within the school environment itself.
