Abstract
En la cuenca Mediterránea es frecuente encontrar entornos semiáridos donde los acuíferos están sometidos a explotación intensiva, generalmente para satisfacer las demandas hídricas para el riego. El acuífero del Campo de Cartagena es un claro ejemplo de acuífero en entorno semiárido, donde estos efectos hidrodinámicos despiertan gran interés científico. El objetivo principal de este estudio, es evaluar estos efectos hidrodinámicos ocurridos en el último siglo de actividad antropogénica en este sistema acuífero. Este acuífero sometido a explotación intensiva presenta claros déficits en épocas de sequía, donde la recarga por retorno de riego tiene un efecto importante en todo el sistema.
Para ello, ha sido necesario desarrollar un modelo hidrodinámico que proporcione información sobre los impactos y efectos desde el punto de vista hidrogeológico.
