El 22 y el 23 de abril de 2019 tuvieron lugar los dos únicos debates electorales televisivos entre los cuatro principales candidatos a las elecciones generales de España. La Junta Electoral Central impidió que Santiago Abascal, líder de Vox, participase en el debate a cinco que proponía Atresmedia debido al recurso interpuesto por Junts per Cat, PNV y Coalición Canaria por tener más votos que Vox y no haber sido convocados. Con un primer tuit Vox asegura: "teníamos muchas ganas de ir a los debates y nos habría permitido llevar nuestro mensaje a muchos indecisos y nuestro presidente habría ganado en la comparación, como ya hizo en el programa de Bertín. Pero aquí mandan los separatistas".
